Grace Community Church was formed in 2002 through the
merger of Princes End Baptist Church and Glebefields Centre
Church. The latter had a 30 year history as a church plant
on a neighbouring housing estate. The Baptist church had
similar gospel origins but in the previous century. A
small church emerged in the 1820s when the gospel was
preached to working folk in the area. As numbers grew
a church building was erected in 1846 near the centre
of Princes End to be replaced by another in 1869 which
was erected at the present location. We are now an independent
congregation experiencing the Lord’s goodness following
the merger of the two former churches. With his help we
are developing a community built on God’s grace.
