As Christmas approaches ...

Welcome to our final blog of 2017!

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed being back with us this year and are eagerly preparing for your Christmas celebrations. Just to let you know, maybe we can help you with that but I’ll come back to that later on.

First though, just a quick reminder that our Anchors Section is still pretty full, but there are still plenty of spaces in our Junior Section (for boys and girls) and Company Section (boys only at this moment in time), so if you know anyone who may be interested, bring them along in the New Year! For more details on uniform, age groups and times, check out the pages for each Section.

We had a few different events last month. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the competitors in the Company Section pool competition and also Jack & Harrison on completing their Building your Skills Course for the President’s Badge. Finally, a huge thank you to all members who took part in the Tipton Remembrance Parade.

In the lead up to Christmas we have some events taking place not just as a Company but also as a Church. On Monday 11th December, Anchors & Juniors will have their Christmas Party Evening, this will be the last meeting for ANCHORS until after Christmas! On Monday 18th December, Juniors & Company Section will have their Christmas Outing to Laser Quest and McDonalds. ALL SECTIONS will then be closed and will re-open at usual times on Monday 8th January 2018 (after having been closed on Christmas Day & New Year’s Day)! Also, Grace Community Church are hosting a series of Carol Services during the Christmas period. Sunday 17th December at 6pm will be the traditional Carols By Candlelight, Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) will be an all new Carols By Glowstick (particularly aimed at families) and finally there will be a short service at 10:30am on Christmas Day. If you have any further questions about any of these events, please don’t hesitate to ask your son/daughter’s section leader.

We look forward to seeing the boys and girls of Brigade celebrating this Christmastime with 3rd West Bromwich and Grace Community Church.

Make sure your look out for January’s Brigade blog to find out what’s going on. All that remains to be said is that here at Brigade, we wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Bye for Now!
