Sundays

Where and when?

We meet in our building in Newhall Street, DY4 9HL every Sunday from 10.30am.

What should I expect?

We are a pretty informal church, so you don’t have to wear anything fancy or call anyone anything particular (our leaders go by their first names - not titles like Rev. or Father or Pastor).

But informality doesn’t mean we’re not serious about what we do. As Christians we meet together to worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Nothing could be more important or more significant.

We sing and speak to God in prayer. We read the Bible (God’s word) and one of the church leaders preaches a message from the Bible passage for about 25 minutes*. We sing a mix of older and newer Christian songs which are easy to pick up. A small group of musicians leads our singing each week.

There’s a crèche available for pre-schoolers during the main part of the service (though we like to have the children in for some of our time together). All our creche workers are DBS checked and we have a safeguarding policy

Once a month we share the Lord's Supper together (on the last Sunday of each month). This is a symbolic meal for Christians that takes 10-15 minutes of our service. If you’re not a Christian you’re welcome to be with us but just not join in eating the bread or drinking the (non-alcoholic) wine.

We stay around at the end of the meeting which lasts between 60-75 minutes to have some refreshments and enjoy being together.

*The Bible’s at the centre of all our worship. We want to learn from God’s word more about Him as He shows Himself to us through His Son Jesus. We want to grow in living in His world with Him as God in every part of our lives through His Spirit.

… on Spotify

Here’s a play list of some of the songs we sing on a Sunday.

Obviously they sound a bit different when sung by us! But hopefully this gives you a taster and help you benefit from the songs during the week.
